Manchester United are reportedly confident that they will be able to announce further contract renewals in the near future, with the club bidding to extend the deals of David de Gea, Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot.

The Red Devils have recently agreed new long-term contracts with Luke Shaw and Alejandro Garnacho, but De Gea only has a deal until the end of June, while Rashford and Dalot are out of contract next year.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the 20-time English champions are relaxed when it comes to the situation, with the club confident of extending the contracts of De Gea, Rashford and Dalot.

The report claims that Man United are expecting to make an announcement over De Gea's future before the Spaniard's current deal officially expires at the end of June.

However, negotiations for Rashford 'could take more time to finalise', with the forward thought to be looking to become the highest-paid player at the club due to his excellent campaign.

De Gea is currently the highest-paid goalkeeper in world football on £375,000 a week, but he is expected to take a huge drop on that salary under the terms of the proposed new deal.

A recent report claimed that Rashford could command wages of £300,000 a week, having scored 29 goals and registered 11 assists in 51 appearances during the 2022-23 campaign.

The England international has 16 goals and five assists in the Premier League this term, starring for the Red Devils under Erik ten Hag after a difficult 2021-22 campaign.

Dalot has also been an important player for Man United during the current season, featuring on 39 occasions in all competitions, contributing two goals and three assists in the process.

The Portugal international struggled with injuries upon his return from the 2022 World Cup, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka has also impressed for the club in the second half of the season.

Dalot has remained a regular for the Red Devils, though, and he has recently operated as a left-back due to the injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, which have seen Shaw play as a centre-back.

Barcelona are believed to be keeping a close eye on the situation surrounding Dalot, as Man United continue to be heavily linked with Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong.

However, Ten Hag's side are allegedly determined to keep hold of Dalot, who has largely been the team's first-choice right-back since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked as head coach in November 2021.

Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe are set to leave Man United on free transfers this summer, while Tom Heaton also only has a deal at Old Trafford until the end of June. body check tags ::
