Manchester United could reportedly offer Jesse Lingard a new contract at Old Trafford.

The 28-year-old struggled for action in the first half of the 2020-21 campaign and was subsequently allowed to join West Ham United on loan during the January transfer window.

Lingard excelled for the Hammers, scoring nine times and registering five assists in 16 appearances, as David Moyes's side secured a Europa League spot for next season.

West Ham are said to be keen to sign the England international on a permanent deal, but according to ESPN, he could yet be a part of Man United's plans moving forward.

The report claims that the 20-time English champions are considering offering Lingard a new contract, with his existing terms due to expire next June.

However, it is unclear whether the attacker would be prepared to remain with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side unless he was offered assurances over regular playing time.

Lingard has scored 33 times and contributed 20 assists in 210 appearances for Man United. body check tags ::
