Manchester United have allowed defender Guillermo Varela to move to Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan deal.
Earlier this month, reports had suggested that a transfer could be in the offing for Varela, who made 11 appearances for United in all competitions last season.
It has now been confirmed that the 23-year-old will spend the next 12 months in Germany with Frankfurt, who finished in 16th place in the Bundesliga last season.
According to Ovacion, Varela had previously held talks with new United boss Jose Mourinho, who had advised the Uruguayan to seek a temporary move elsewhere in order to secure regular first-team football.
