Manchester United have reportedly decided against launching a January approach for Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen.
United have been looking to sign a new centre-back since the summer, and the Premier League giants may strengthen in that area before the end of the month.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, United will bide their time when it comes to Andersen despite having been left impressed by the 22-year-old.
The report claims that the North-West outfit have decided to wait until the end of the campaign before making a final call on whether to challenge Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan for the player's signature.
Andersen is said to be prepared to spend the rest of the season at Sampdoria, with his stock continuing to rise in a team which is challenging for a place in next year's Europa League.
The Dane still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
