Manchester United are reportedly pushing to sign Ousmane Dembele on a free transfer, with Barcelona yet to convince the attacker to pen a new deal at Camp Nou.
The 24-year-old's current contract is due to expire next June, and Barcelona's new head coach Xavi has already spoken of the importance of keeping hold of the France international.
However, the Catalan outfit's financial problems mean that they cannot offer the World Cup winner a pay rise, which has led to a host of speculation surrounding his future.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Man United are desperate to sign Dembele on a free transfer and are currently pushing for the attacker to accept their lucrative offer.
Juventus, Chelsea and Liverpool have also been linked with the former Rennes youngster, who has struggled with a number of injury problems during his time at Camp Nou.
As it stands, Dembele, who has only made one appearance for Barcelona this season, would be able to discuss a pre-contract with foreign clubs at the start of 2022.
