Premier League leaders Manchester United are reportedly keen to sign FC Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala in the summer.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be keen to secure a replacement for Rio Ferdinand, who will turn 35 later this year.
Having considered a number of options, including Benfica's Ezequiel Garay, Ferguson has turned his attention to 22-year-old Mangala, according to the Daily Star.
The report went on to claim that Porto value the former French youth international at around £20m.
However, Porto are believed to be keen on United midfielder Anderson, who joined the Red Devils in 2007 from the Portuguese outfit.
That has resulted in speculation that the Brazilian midfielder could be used as part of the package that would take Mangala to Old Trafford.
