Manchester United have reportedly been in contact with Napoli over a possible move for Elseid Hysaj should they fail in their bid to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with Wan-Bissaka, who emerged as one of the finest right-backs in the Premier League with Crystal Palace last season.
Palace are believed to have rejected a £50m offer from United, however, and Sky Sport Italy claims that they may soon focus on bringing in cheaper alternative Hysaj from Napoli.
Hysaj admitted earlier this month that he is seeking a move away from the Stadio San Paolo after playing less frequently under Carlo Ancelotti last season.
Atletico Madrid are also rumoured to be in the running to sign the Albanian defender.
