Manchester United are leading the race to sign Barcelona full-back Dani Alves, according to reports.
Alves is widely expected to leave the La Liga club this summer as his contract runs out, and United have been consistently linked with signing him.
The Daily Star says that United have competition from Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool for the 31-year-old but Louis van Gaal is "confident" of striking a deal.
Van Gaal is said to be keen to strengthen the right-back position this summer, which has prompted doubt over the future of Rafael, who is the club's only recognised right-back.
United have also been linked with moves for Seamus Coleman and Nathanial Clyne.
