Manchester United are reportedly currently in discussions with Omari Forson over a new contract, with the club determined to keep the highly-rated teenager at Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old represented West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur as a youngster before moving to Man United in 2019, and he was a part of their preparations for the 2023-24 campaign.
Forson featured against Leeds United in July before being included in the squad for the tour of the United States, and he was named in the starting side against Borussia Dortmund.
The attacker is yet to make his competitive debut for the Red Devils, but he was named on the bench for the team's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on September 20.
Forson has also been in excellent form at youth level this term, scoring six times and registering two assists in six appearances, including three goals and one assist in four Premier League 2 outings.
The England Under-19s international also scored twice and provided one assist in a 3-0 victory over Galatasaray in the UEFA Youth League earlier this month.
The attacker's existing deal at Old Trafford is due to expire next June, but according to the Daily Mail, the club are in discussions with him over an extension.
The report claims that Man United want Forson to sign a long-term contract, with first-team manager Erik ten Hag an admirer of the forward.
Ten Hag surprisingly substituted the youngster in the first half of the team's pre-season clash with Dortmund in the United States following a clash with BVB's Karim Adeyemi.
After the match, the Man United head coach revealed that he had spoken with Forson about remaining composed.
"When there's VAR, he could be sent off. He played a good game. The opponent got annoyed at him," Ten Hag told MUTV at the time.
"But don't take it into your own hands, you can't be the judge. You have to play football. You have to beat your opponent and that's the best way to react."
Forson is capable of operating in a number of different areas in the final third of the field, but his primary position is a right-sided forward.
The youngster has been named in the England elite development squad for their upcoming matches against Romania and Portugal.
