Manchester United have reportedly identified Leicester City midfielder James Maddison as a potential signing next summer.
Despite spending just over a year at the King Power Stadium, Maddison has emerged as one of Leicester's key men, while the 22-year-old is also closing in on a first appearance for England.
Due to the form of the playmaker, interest has increased among the Premier League's top clubs, including from United who have recently been linked with a bid.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the first official approach could come at the end of the season with Maddison having already been placed on their shortlist.
While Maddison has just under four years left on his contract, the Foxes man has previously suggested that he is striving to reach 'the highest level possible'.
The creator has set up two goals during his first four Premier League outings of the campaign.
