Mathys Tel reportedly wants to stay at Bayern Munich during this summer's transfer window despite being heavily linked with a move away from Allianz Arena in recent weeks.
The attacker's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with Manchester United said to be keen to sign him during this summer's transfer market.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also said to be admirers of the 18-year-old, who has scored six goals and registered four assists in 29 appearances for Bayern during the 2023-24 campaign.
However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Tel is keen to stay at Allianz Arena, with the club's new head coach set to be involved in the decision-making when it comes to the teenager.
Romano claims that a summer departure for Tel "would have been likely" if Thomas Tuchel was staying as manager, but the German will leave his role at the end of the season.
"Bayern's new manager will also be involved in decision over Mathys Tel's future. Tel wants to stay at Bayern, he loves the club but needs more guarantees on game time," Romano wrote on X.
"His departure would have been likely if Tuchel had remained at Bayern."
Tel started his professional career with Rennes, but he made just 10 first-team appearances for the French outfit ahead of a switch to Allianz Arena in the summer of 2022.
The forward managed six goals in all competitions for Bayern last term, and he is on course to better that total last term, but he has struggled for starts during the 2023-24 campaign.
Tel has only started three times for his German club this season, while all 19 of his Bundesliga appearances this term have come off the bench.
The Frenchman has a contract with Bayern until June 2027, having penned a five-year deal upon his arrival from French football in the summer of 2022.
Man United will be in the market for at least one new centre-forward this summer, with the club looking to bring in competition for Rasmus Hojlund.
Anthony Martial, who has been out since December and will be missing until at least the end of March, is set to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of June.
There is also speculation surrounding the futures of Jadon Sancho and Antony, with both players potentially leaving the club for the right price during the summer market.
