Manchester United, Manchester City 'keen on James Ward-Prowse'

:Headline: Manchester United, Manchester City 'keen on James Ward-Prowse':
Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse emerges as a transfer target for Manchester United and Manchester City, according to a report.
Sports Mole

Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly both interested in signing Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse this summer.

The England international has been in impressive form for the Saints during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring six goals and providing five assists in 22 appearances from midfield.

According to Fichajes, Ward-Prowse's form has attracted the attention of both Man United and Man City, who could compete for his signature during this summer's transfer window.

The report claims that Ward-Prowse's set-piece qualities make him an attractive proposition for the two Manchester clubs, although Southampton have no interest in letting him leave.

The Saints would allegedly not even consider offers of under £50m for a player who has a contract at St Mary's until June 2026.

The 27-year-old has scored 39 goals and registered 45 assists in 344 appearances for Southampton since making his debut for the club in 2011. body check tags ::
