Juan Mata is reportedly close to signing a new contract with Manchester United after holding lengthy talks with the club.
The Spanish midfielder will become a free agent in two weeks' time when his existing deal expires.
However, United confirmed earlier this month that a new contract has been offered to Mata, who has spent the last five-and-a-half years at Old Trafford.
According to The Mirror, talks have been ongoing behind the scenes and the ex-Chelsea midfielder is edging closer to putting pen to paper.
A source close to the discussions claims that is is "90% certain" an agreement will be reached.
Barcelona are one of a number of teams to have been linked with Mata.
