Manchester United are reportedly on the lookout for a Michael Carrick replacement in midfield and have earmarked two possible players to fill the void.
The Red Devils are said to have sent scouts to watch Roma's goalless draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last week, tasked with running the rule over Radja Nainggolan and Saul Niguez.
Carrick is widely expected to depart Old Trafford at the end of the season, having failed to add to his 459 club appearances so far this term.
According to the Daily Star, boss Jose Mourinho already has two players in mind to come in next year, with Nainggolan and Saul at the top of his wishlist.
Nainggolan, heavily linked with a switch to United in the past, recently extended his terms in Rome by a further four years, while Saul has a whopping nine years to run on his deal at Atletico.
