Manchester United 'offer Jadon Sancho, Antony to Saudi Pro League clubs'

Manchester United contact clubs from the Saudi Pro League to discuss summer sales of Jadon Sancho and Antony, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly contacted Saudi Pro League clubs to discuss transfers for Jadon Sancho and Antony, with the pair both facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford.

Sancho has not played for the Red Devils since the end of August, having fallen out with head coach Erik ten Hag after the clash with Arsenal at the start of September.

Ten Hag said that the England international was not involved at the Emirates Stadium due to poor performances in training, but the attacker insisted that was not the case in a statement on social media, claiming that he had been made "a scapegoat".

Sancho returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan earlier this month, but there is no option for the Bundesliga outfit to make the deal permanent at the end of the campaign.

The 23-year-old, who has two assists in two Bundesliga outings for BVB since his return, will therefore head back to Old Trafford this summer, when a decision on his long-term future will be made.

According to the London Evening Standard, Sancho has been offered to clubs in the Saudi Pro League, with Man United wanting in the region of £50m for the forward.

The report claims that Antony has also been made available for transfer, and the Red Devils would be looking for a similar fee for the Brazilian, who has struggled since his arrival from Ajax.

The 23-year-old has only managed eight goals and three assists in 66 appearances for the 20-time English champions, and he has failed to contribute a goal or an assist in 22 outings in all competitions this term.

Man United's director of football John Murtough allegedly met with officials from the Saudi Pro League in December in a bid to 'build connections'.

Antony cost the Red Devils in the region of £86m from Ajax in 2022, while Sancho arrived in a £73m deal from Dortmund in the summer of 2021.

Neither player has been able to show their best form in Manchester, though, and both could potentially now be on the move during the upcoming summer market.

Red Devils trio Casemiro, Raphael Varane and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are also believed to be wanted by teams from Saudi Arabia, with all three facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford.

Man United are expected to be active during the summer window, with incoming minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe believed to be targeting a number of players as part of another rebuild.

A new striker is expected to be a priority, with Anthony Martial set to depart on a free transfer, which would leave Rasmus Hojlund as the only senior option at centre-forward. body check tags ::
