Manchester United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Raphael Varane and Casemiro during the January transfer window.

The ex-Real Madrid pair have nine Champions League titles between them, but it appears that neither are in the long-term plans of Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag.

Varane has only made eight Premier League appearances during the 2023-24 campaign, with the 30-year-old dropping down the pecking order when it comes to the spots in the middle of the defence.

The former France international has not started for the Red Devils in the league since the end of September, while he has not featured in any of their last three games in England's top flight.

Jonny Evans's return to fitness has seemingly pushed Varane further down the pecking order, and there is currently widespread speculation surrounding his future, with teams from Saudi Arabia believed to be keeping a close eye on his situation.

Varane has featured on 75 occasions for Man United, scoring twice and registering one assist, but there is not an obvious route for him back into the starting side due to the form of Harry Maguire.

Casemiro, meanwhile, arrived at Old Trafford in the summer of 2022, penning a four-year contract with the club, and he impressed during the 2022-23 campaign.

The Brazil captain has four goals and one assist to his name this term, but he has been on the sidelines with a hamstring problem since the start of October.

According to The Independent, Man United are willing to listen to bids for both Varane and Casemiro when the January transfer window opens for business.

The report claims that Casemiro wants 'different experiences at this stage of his career', and he is also believed to be attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.

The midfielder is expected to be back from his injury towards the end of the year, but there is a chance that he could depart during the January transfer window for the right price.

Ten Hag has said that January additions are unlikely, but the club would almost certainly enter the market if Varane and Casemiro were to leave in the middle of the season.

Varane was not even in the squad for Wednesday's clash against Chelsea, with the club revealing that he was unavailable for selection due to a problem with his back.

Jadon Sancho is also set to leave Old Trafford during the winter window, with the Englishman currently out of the first-team picture at the club due to his falling-out with Ten Hag. body check tags ::
