Manchester United are reportedly open to allowing both Eric Bailly and Aaron Wan-Bissaka to leave the club during this summer's transfer window.

The Red Devils are planning to bring at least one new centre-back to the club in the upcoming market, while a new right-back could also be targeted by incoming head coach Erik ten Hag.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, both Bailly and Wan-Bissaka are likely to be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford under the team's new manager.

Bailly signed a new contract with the Red Devils last April, but he has only made seven appearances in all competitions during the 2021-22 campaign, with his last Premier League outing coming against Burnley at the end of December.

The 28-year-old has now been with Man United for almost six years, but he has represented the club on just 113 occasions due to a number of injury problems.

Wan-Bissaka, meanwhile, joined the Red Devils in a £50m deal from Crystal Palace in July 2019, and he has made 126 appearances for the club in all competitions.

This term, the 24-year-old has featured on 26 occasions, but he has largely had to play second fiddle to Diogo Dalot at right-back since Ralf Rangnick replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as head coach.

Wan-Bissaka has not featured for the Red Devils since the 4-0 defeat at Liverpool on April 19 and is expected to again be overlooked for Sunday's Premier League clash at his former club Palace.

According to Sky Sports News, Man United would prefer that the former England Under-21s international left on a permanent basis, but the club are also open to a loan exit if it includes an obligation to buy.

Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a return to Palace, while Atletico Madrid are also thought to be showing an interest in the full-back.

Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe could also potentially leave the club this summer, while there has been speculation surrounding Alex Telles's future at the club.

Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane are all expected to remain at Old Trafford, though, with Ten Hag thought to be keen to sign a centre-back to compete with those three for spots next term.

Villarreal's Pau Torres is thought to be a leading target, while Ajax pair Jurrien Timber and Lisandro Martinez have also been linked with moves to the club in recent days.

Ten Hag has allegedly flown to England ahead of Sunday's match with Palace, and the club's new head coach could be in the stands at Selhurst Park, as the Red Devils look to hold off competition from West Ham United to secure sixth spot in the Premier League table, which would bring a spot in next season's Europa League. body check tags ::
