Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are reportedly all interested in signing Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana during next summer's transfer window.
The 24-year-old has been a key player for Monaco during the 2023-24 campaign, making 15 appearances in Ligue 1, contributing one goal and three assists in the process.
Fofana's future was the subject of speculation over the summer, with a number of clubs said to be interested in his signature, but he remained at Stade Louis-II past the transfer deadline.
The France international's contract is due to expire in June 2025, though, and it is believed that he will be on the move during next summer's market.
According to Calciomercato, Man United, PSG and Juventus are all keen on Fofana, with the trio expected to battle for his signature ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
The report claims that Monaco are not willing to let him leave in January, but a departure at the end of the campaign is seen as a serious possibility.
Fofana started his professional career with Strasbourg, making 41 appearances for the club before moving to Monaco in the early stages of 2020.
The midfielder has featured on 155 occasions for his current side in all competitions, scoring four goals and registering 14 assists in the process.
Fofana has gained Europa League experience during his time at Monaco, making 13 appearances, while he has also played six times in the qualification stage of the Champions League.
Man United are set to prioritise the signing of a new central midfielder next year, as Casemiro is likely to leave Old Trafford to move to Saudi Arabia.
The club are also believed to be willing to listen to offers for Christian Eriksen, while Donny van de Beek is set to join Eintracht Frankfurt on loan in January before leaving permanently next summer.
Man United are also not thought to be planning to sign Sofyan Amrabat on a permanent basis from Fiorentina, so there could be a revamp in the midfield department ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
However, the 20-time English champions will seemingly face huge competition from both PSG and Juventus for Fofana's signature, with the European giants determined to win the race for his signature. body check tags ::
