Manchester United have decided to release Alberto Massacci from his contract at Old Trafford.
The 18-year-old is believed to have made an impression on the club's coaching staff following his arrival from Empoli in 2009.
However, the young defender has since suffered from a number of injuries that have stunted his progression.
Massacci only signed professional forms with the Red Devils last year.
