Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Everton Soares after sending scouts to watch the Gremio and Brazil forward in action.
The 23-year-old played a huge part in his national side's Copa America triumph on home soil this summer by top scoring in the competition with three goals.
Everton was already a name on the radar of Premier League clubs before the tournament started, and his performances in Brazil have only increased the demand for his signature.
Brazilian journalist Farid Germano claims that United are one of the frontrunners to sign the Gremio ace, who was back in action with his club side three days after Brazil's victory over Peru in the Copa America final.
The Red Devils apparently had officials present for Gremio's Copa do Brasil quarter-final with Bahia earlier this week, with an eye on making a formal offer before the transfer window closes.
Bayern Munich and AC Milan are also believed to be in the running to sign Everton.
