Manchester United reportedly scouted Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali during Sunday's Serie A clash with Bologna.
The 19-year-old, who has drawn comparisons in Italy to legendary midfielder Andrea Pirlo, has already made 56 first-team appearances for his current club in all competitions.
Last season, Tonali starred as Brescia earned promotion from Serie B, while the Italy Under-21 international has contributed one assist in three Serie A appearances during the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.
According to Calciomercato, United watched the teenager in action against Bologna, and the Red Devils are eyeing a potential move at the end of the season.
Ajax and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in Tonali, though, while the likes of Juventus and Chelsea have previously been linked with a swoop.
The midfielder will see his current deal at Stadio Mario Rigamonti expire in the summer of 2021, although the Italian club do have the option of activating a further 12 months.
