Manchester United are reportedly lining up a €50m (£43m) summer move for Juventus defender Bremer.

The Red Devils are preparing to sign at least one centre-back during the upcoming market, with Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans both only having contracts until the end of the campaign.

Victor Lindelof's future is also being called into question, while a recent report claimed that West Ham United could reignite their interest in Harry Maguire.

Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite continues to be linked with a switch to Old Trafford, although the Englishman could potentially be priced out of a move to the 20-time English champions, while Real Madrid are also said to be firmly in the race for his signature.

According to Tuttosport, Bremer has emerged as a target for Man United, with the club 'in the front row' for the Brazil international, who is also attracting interest from other Premier League teams.

The report claims that the Red Devils have signalled that they are willing to pay €50m (£43m) to sign the South American, but Juventus have set a valuation of at least €60m (£51.5m).

Bremer started his professional career with Atletico Mineiro before making the move to Torino in 2018, and he featured on 110 occasions for the Italian club before Juventus signed him in the summer of 2022.

The centre-back has played 72 times for the Old Lady in all competitions, scoring seven goals and registering one assist in the process.

This season, Bremer has two goals in 29 appearances for the Turin giants, and he signed a contract extension in December, with his current terms due to run until the summer of 2028.

Juventus are said to be keen to keep hold of the defender, but the club would seriously listen to offers of at least €60m (£51.5m) during the summer transfer window.

Bremer has been capped on three occasions by Brazil, and he is in their squad for Saturday's glamour friendly with England at Wembley Stadium.

Arguably only Lisandro Martinez from Man United's current crop of centre-backs is guaranteed to be at the club next season, with the futures of Varane, Evans, Lindelof and Maguire all unclear.

Erik ten Hag's side are believed to be keen to renew Varane, but the ex-France international would have to be prepared to accept a wage drop.

Evans has also played more than expected this season, featuring on 24 occasions in all competitions, and a new one-year deal for the 36-year-old has not yet been ruled out. body check tags ::
