Manchester United are reportedly still confident of signing Jadon Sancho this summer despite negotiations halting recently due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The outbreak of the virus means that the majority of football matters are currently on hold, and it is unclear when this summer's transfer window will open for business.
United have been strongly linked with a move for Sancho in recent months, with the Red Devils allegedly desperate to bring him to Old Trafford ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 20-time English champions remain confident of signing the Borussia Dortmund attacker despite the recent difficulties.
"Manchester United have been in contact with Jadon Sancho's agent for two months and are working on his contract. The coronavirus pandemic is making it hard to communicate with Borussia Dortmund. United are confident," Romano said on Instagram Live.
The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for BVB during the current season, scoring 17 times and contributing 19 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.
The England international could allegedly command a transfer fee in the region of £120m.
