Manchester United will reportedly be offered the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
The 32-year-old is PSG's all-time leading goalscorer, having found the back of the net on 198 occasions in 293 appearances for the capital giants in all competitions.
The Uruguay international will see his current deal expire at the end of the season, though, and it is understood that he will not be signing a new contract in Paris.
According to the Manchester Evening News, PSG will not allow Cavani to leave during the January transfer window as they want to retain his services for the second half of the 2019-20 campaign, but the experienced striker will be offered to the Red Devils on a free transfer this summer.
Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood have all been in good form for United this season, but the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez last summer means that head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has limited options in the final third of the field.
Cavani has struggled for regular action during the current season, although he has still managed five goals in 14 appearances for Thomas Tuchel's side in all competitions.
