Manchester United are prepared to pay Eintracht Frankfurt £44m to sign Croatia World Cup star Ante Rebic, according to a report.
The 24-year-old featured in six of the Vatreni's seven matches in this summer's tournament, including 71 minutes of the 4-2 defeat to France in Sunday's final.
United boss Jose Mourinho has taken a liking to Rebic, and The Mirror claims that the Red Devils are prepared to match Frankfurt's valuation for the attacking midfielder.
Rebic, formerly of RNK Split and Fiorentina, scored nine goals in 28 league and cup appearances at club level last season.
Croatia teammate Ivan Perisic has been strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford over the past three transfer windows, but United have so far been unable to agree a fee with Inter Milan.
