Manchester United have reportedly identified Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek as a potential summer signing.
Having signed Bruno Fernandes in January, United are likely to prioritise other areas of the pitch during the next transfer window.
However, according to Marca, the Premier League giants still hold an interest in bringing Van de Beek to Old Trafford.
Although the report states that the Netherlands international already has an unofficial agreement in place with Real Madrid, it is suggested that United will still try to edge out Los Blancos.
The La Liga outfit will allegedly make the final call, leaving United to wait for any more developments regarding the 22-year-old's future.
Van de Beek has contributed 10 goals and seven assists from 30 Eredivisie and European fixtures this season.
