Manchester United are reportedly ready to rival Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze during this summer's transfer window.
The 25-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2023-24 campaign for Palace, scoring 11 goals and registering six assists in 31 appearances in all competitions.
Eze's form for the Eagles last term has earned him a spot in the England squad for Euro 2024, with the likes of Jack Grealish and James Maddison being overlooked.
Tottenham are believed to be huge admirers of the playmaker, with the North London club said to be considering making a move for him during the summer market.
It is alleged that there is a release clause in Eze's current deal worth a minimum £60m, but it could reach £68m once various add-ons have been taken into account.
Man United 'want to bring Eze to Old Trafford'
According to Football Insider, Man United are keen on Eze, with the Red Devils preparing to battle Ange Postecoglou's side for his signature this summer.
The report claims that Eze is seen as a priority by INEOS, with the club's new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe believed to view the attacker as the perfect signing this summer.
The Englishman made the move to Selhurst Park from Queens Park Rangers in August 2020, and he has represented Palace on 124 occasions, scoring 26 goals and registering 17 assists in the process.
Eze had his injury problems during the 2023-24 campaign, but he scored five times and registered two assists in his last six appearances of the Premier League season.
The playmaker also put in a standout performance in Palace's 4-0 win over Man United last month, and the Eagles are facing a huge battle to keep hold of him.
Man United are also being linked with Olise
Erik ten Hag's are also believed to be huge admirers of Michael Olise, who is being heavily linked with a move away from his capital club.
Like Eze, Olise had fitness issues last term, but he scored 10 goals and registered six assists in 19 Premier League appearances.
Chelsea are also said to be determined to sign the attacker this summer, and it would be very difficult for Man United to complete a double swoop for both Eze and Olise.
That said, in theory, it could happen, as Olise also has a release clause in his contract, said to be around £60m, so it would not be impossible for the 20-time English champions to sign both in what would be a huge statement of intent this summer.
Man United first need to make some sales, though, with Casemiro a player capable of raising a healthy transfer fee, and the Brazilian continues to be heavily linked with a switch to Saudi Arabia. body check tags ::
