Manchester United have reportedly given up hope of signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho during the summer transfer window.
Sancho has been provided with regular football in the Bundesliga, and that has resulted in the 19-year-old becoming a regular feature in Gareth Southgate's England squad.
United are one of a number of teams who have been monitoring the progress of the attacker, and Ole Gunner Solskjaer had wanted the North-West giants to make a big-money offer.
However, according to the Daily Mail, United's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League has left the club accepting defeat in their bid to bring in the former Manchester City trainee.
The report claims that Sancho had been open to making a return to the Premier League, but it now appears that the £100m-rated prospect will continue to represent Dortmund for at least another 12 months.
