Manchester United have reportedly still not triggered the one-year extension in Nemanja Matic's contract.
The 31-year-old, as it stands, will be out of contract at Old Trafford this summer.
The Red Devils do have the option to activate a one-year extension until the end of next season, but according to the Manchester Evening News, the 20-time English champions are yet to make a decision.
Matic struggled for action in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign but has been a key player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in recent months with Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay both having their injury problems.
This term, the Serbia international has made 21 appearances at club level and has started eight of United's last nine Premier League matches, only missing out against Wolverhampton Wanderers through suspension.
Matic joined the Red Devils from Chelsea ahead of the 2017-18 season.
