Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has reportedly received an offer to join the Saudi Pro League.
Following his arrival from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022, Casemiro quickly established himself as a key player in Erik ten Hag's side.
During his first season with the club, Casemiro made 53 appearances across all competitions, contributing seven goals and seven assists as Man United went on to lift the EFL Cup and achieve a top-four finish.
However, the Brazil international has experienced a much tougher season this time around, partly due to injury issues that have kept him sidelined for the majority of the last two months.
Prior to his injury troubles, Casemiro made 12 appearances across all competitions, with some of his performances coming under scrutiny.
Despite having a contract until June 2026, there has been speculation surrounding the player's long-term future at the club.
According to Marca, the 31-year-old has already been presented with an offer from the Saudi Pro League ahead of the January window.
The report suggests that Casemiro is now considering whether to accept the proposal, which is believed to be a lucrative one.
After recruiting high-profile players from Europe in the summer, Saudi Arabia are keen to make further eye-catching signings in the January window as they look to build the reputation of their domestic league.
If Casemiro were to depart, Man United would look to recoup part of the €70m (£60.4m) that they paid Real Madrid to sign him around 18 months ago.
While it is currently unclear how many clubs have submitted proposals to Casemiro, a recent report claimed that Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr were showing an interest in the experienced midfielder.
Manchester United football director John Murtough reportedly flew to Saudi Arabia earlier this month to discuss potential transfers for the January window.
Casemiro was believed to be among the topics of conversation, as well as Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial. body check tags ::
