Leeds United are in talks to sign Manchester United winger Daniel James, two-and-a-half years after they nearly signed him on loan, according to a report.

Leeds United have moved closer to agreeing a deal to sign Daniel James from Manchester United, according to a report.

The Welsh international nearly moved to Elland Road on loan in the January transfer window in 2019, but the deal collapsed on deadline day.

James went on to sign for Man United that summer, but could see his playing time limited at Old Trafford this season after the arrivals of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Guardian states that Leeds are in advanced talks to sign the 23-year-old ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline.

The report adds that the Red Devils would demand a fee of £20m, considering they paid £15m for him two years ago and he still has three years left on his contract.

Several other Premier League clubs are also believed to be interested in James, who has scored nine goals in 74 appearances for Man United. body check tags ::
