Manchester United have reportedly signed a preliminary agreement with Benfica attacker Anderson Talisca over a move to Old Trafford this summer.
The 24-year-old is set to return to Benfica after a two-year loan spell with Besiktas, but the likes of Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been heavily linked with a move for the attacking midfielder.
Besiktas boss Senol Gunes yesterday confirmed that Talisca would be leaving the club and dropped a strong hint that Liverpool were favourites for his signature, but reports in Turkey have now suggested that United have won the race.
The Red Devils are yet to come to terms with Benfica over a price for the Brazil Under-23 international, but the reports claim that they have agreed personal terms with the player.
"Talisca has signed a preliminary protocol with Manchester United," Turkish journalist Firat Gunayer wrote on Twitter.
"Benfica, however, has not yet agreed with the British. Besiktas also take 21 and sell to other clubs."
Talisca scored 20 goals in 47 appearances for Benfica this season.
