Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City have reportedly learned the price of Bruno Guimaraes's limited-time release clause.

The 26-year-old has been a key figure for Newcastle United since making the switch from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon to St James' Park during the January transfer window of 2022.

Joining the team in the midst of a relegation battle, Guimaraes went on to help the Magpies to a fourth-placed finish and subsequent Champions League qualification during the 2022-23 term.

Despite being part of a disappointing group-stage exit from Europe earlier in the campaign, the midfielder has still enjoyed a productive time in the North-East, providing 10 goal contributions in 32 Premier League appearances.

The playmaker's move to England in 2022 has allowed him to accelerate his progression on the international stage, where he is now a regular starter for Brazil.

Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City handed information in Guimaraes race?

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal have learned the value of the release clause in Guimaraes's contract at Newcastle.

The report claims that potential suitors will have to fork out £100m for the services of the 26-year-old, who recently stated that he is content with life in the North East.

That being said, it is understood that the release clause only runs from the end of May until the end of June, after which point the landscape for a possible transfer deal will change dramatically.

Starting from July until the end of the summer trading point in early September, Newcastle would be in control of deciding a suitable transfer fee for the Brazilian.

Guimaraes's current terms at St James' Park expire at the conclusion of the 2027-28 term, meaning that the Magpies are in no rush - in that sense - to offload the player.

Man Utd's midfield overhaul

After proving his considerable worth in the Premier League and Champions League for Newcastle this season, it is no surprise to see Man United moving for the services of Guimaraes.

Erik ten Hag's side are looking for midfield reinforcements ahead of the new campaign, with the likes of Casemiro and Sofyan Amrabat unlikely to depart.

From a personal perspective, a move to Pep Guardiola's Man City would allow Guimaraes to link up with international teammate Ederson.

A transfer to the Emirates would also offer similar opportunities for Guimaraes, who plays with Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli regularly on the international scene. body check tags ::
