Manchester United are reportedly close to completing a £1m deal for Rochdale teenager Daniel Adshead.
The 17-year-old broke into the Rochdale first team last season, making eight appearances across all competitions, the majority of which came in the EFL Trophy.
A number of Premier League and Championship sides are thought to be monitoring the youngster's progress, and The Mirror reports that United are now on the verge of completing a deal.
Adshead featured for Rochdale during a behind-closed-doors friendly with United's Under-23s at Carrington last week, putting in a man-of-the-match display which impressed United youth boss Nicky Butt.
The midfielder became Rochdale's youngest-ever player on his debut last season, turning out in an EFL Trophy match against Bury just 17 days after his 16th birthday.
