Manchester United have reportedly reached the closing stages of a deal for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic ahead of the January transfer window.
The Croat is not in the plans of new manager Maurizio Sarri, with the striker not making a single appearance for the Old Lady this season.
Reports claimed earlier this month that United had reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Mandzukic, who almost moved to Old Trafford in the summer.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, a deal between the two clubs is almost over the line, with the 33-year-old set to move to Manchester in December ahead of officially joining the Red Devils in January.
Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici recently confirmed that Mandzukic was indeed free to negotiate a move to another club ahead of the upcoming window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has prioritised the signing of a striker in January following the club's decision to dispense with - and failure to replace - attacking duo Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku over the summer.
