Manchester United are reportedly confident of wrapping up a deal for Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller.
The Premier League giants are believed to be hunting for a new forward as Robin van Persie closes in on a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.
With the only attacking options at United's disposal being Wayne Rooney and James Wilson, manager Louis van Gaal is said to have turned his attention to World Cup winner Muller.
The 25-year-old has been linked with the Red Devils in the past, and according to the Daily Star, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is confident that the club will sign Muller for £60m, despite Bayern's reluctance to sell.
The forward has been a Bayern player for his entire career so far.
