Manchester United have reportedly lined up a potential move for Real Valladolid defender Mohammed Salisu ahead of the January transfer window.
Questions over United's defence rose once again during a 3-3 draw with Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday.
20-year-old Salisu, who has played in every La Liga game for Valladolid this term, will be out of contract at the end of this season and according to Diario de Valladolid, United scouts have been impressed with Salisu's performances and view the Ghanaian as a cheap option.
The Red Devils have been alerted to the fact that Salisu's current contract contains a release clause of £10m.
Salisu, whose agent is the father of United forward Juan Mata, has also attracted interest from Everton, Newcastle, Southampton and Norwich City.
