Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney as a possible transfer target this summer.
Tierney only signed a new six-year deal with the Scottish champions last October, but his performances for club and country have led to interest from a number of top teams.
The 20-year-old has captained Celtic and Scotland despite his age and is already a key member of Brendan Rodgers's side in Glasgow, making 41 appearances for the Bhoys across all competitions this season.
The Daily Record claims that United are now lining up a summer move for the youngster as Mourinho maps out an overhaul of the defensive options at his disposal.
The Red Devils are expected to splash the cash this summer in an attempt to close the gap to Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, and reportedly see Tierney as a potential solution to their problems at left-back.
Ashley Young has impressed as a makeshift defender in that position this season, but Mourinho is understood to want a specialist left-back and sees Tierney as a possible option.
The Scotland international could be available for around £20m despite the length of his new deal, making him a relatively cheap option in the current market.
