Manchester United have reportedly made a fresh attempt to agree a new contract with Angel Gomes.
With the academy graduate having failed to earn regular game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the playmaker is currently against penning fresh terms at Old Trafford.
The situation has led to interest from a number of other Premier League clubs, including Chelsea who are keen to sign the young Englishman on a free transfer.
However, The Sun claims that United officials have made one final effort to retain the services of the 19-year-old.
Despite making just three starts and six substitute appearances in all competitions, the report claims that United are prepared to offer Gomes a pay rise which would almost double his current wages.
Gomes is likely to bide his time under football resumes later in 2020.
