Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly ready to join the race for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
With just over a year remaining on his contract, the centre-back is attracting attention from a number of top European clubs.
Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Arsenal have all been linked with the 21-year-old, who is said to have a release clause of £52.5m.
According to Sky Sports News, the two Manchester clubs are also contemplating a bid for the Frenchman during the next transfer window.
Both teams are known to be in the market for a new defender, preferably of a younger age over a player in the latter stages of his career.
Upamecano has made 29 appearances in all competitions during the current campaign.
