Manchester United are reportedly pushing to complete the signing of Penarol youngster Facundo Pellistri before tonight's transfer deadline.
United have been in the market for a new right-winger throughout the summer transfer window but look increasingly unlikely to seal a deal for top target Jadon Sancho or back-up option Ousmane Dembele.
The Manchester Evening News reports that the Red Devils are instead in talks over a late move for Pellistri worth around €10m (£9.1m).
United have reportedly been tracking the 18-year-old for more than a year after he broke into the Penarol first team under manager and former United striker Diego Forlan.
Pellistri could become one of two Uruguayans to join the 20-time English champions on deadline day, with Edinson Cavani also on the verge of joining.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are also expected to complete a deal for Alex Telles before Monday's deadline, having only brought in Donny van de Beek so far this summer.
