Manchester United have reportedly seen a loan bid for Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa rejected by the Serie A outfit.
The Red Devils are yet to make a breakthrough in their attempts to land Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and are being forced to seek out alternative options in the final few days of the transfer window.
Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele has emerged as a potential target in recent days, while Watford's Ismaila Sarr is also being tipped to make the switch to Old Trafford on a temporary basis.
However, United are said to be eyeing up a move for Chiesa, although The Telegraph reports that Fiorentina have no interest in allowing the 22-year-old to leave on loan.
The report claims that Serie A champions Juventus want to strike a permanent deal for Chiesa before the transfer window shuts, and La Viola will supposedly entertain the Old Lady's proposed offer of £45m for the Italian.
Chiesa already has one goal and one assist to his name in the 2020-21 Serie A campaign, and the winger's existing deal at Fiorentina will expire in 2022.
