Rumoured Manchester United target Arturo Vidal has been left out of Bayern Munich's squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.
The 31-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks as manager Jose Mourinho looks to bring in reinforcements ahead of the August 9 transfer deadline.
The Red Devils have signed Fred and Diogo Dalot so far this summer, but Mourinho is understood to want at least two more new arrivals before the start of the 2018-19 Premier League season.
Vidal is thought to be near the top of his wanted list, and the Chilean's omission from Bayern's squad is likely to intensify rumours that he could be set to end his three-year stay at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern boss Niko Kovac has insisted that Vidal's absence is down to him still struggling with an injury, but the midfielder's agent has also flown in to Munich amid the speculation over his future.
Vidal, who has also been linked with Chelsea, has made 132 appearances for Bayern, scoring 22 goals and helping the club to six trophies including three successive Bundesliga titles.
