Sporting Lisbon have reportedly requested that they be able to loan Andreas Pereira if they are to allow Bruno Fernandes to sign for Manchester United.
Since the beginning of the January transfer window, United have again been linked with the playmaker, whom they failed to sign during the summer.
However, it has been suggested that a deal is likely to go through in the coming days, providing that the two clubs can reach a compromise over the overall package.
While Sporting would prefer a straight-cash deal in the region of £64m, A Bola claims that they are also interested in signing Pereira on a temporary basis.
The Brazilian, who has made 24 appearances for United in all competitions this season, would effectively act as a like-for-like replacement for Fernandes.
Despite allegedly being offered the chance to sign either Joel Pereira or Angel Gomes, Sporting are said to have no interest in the duo.
