Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer Phil Jones a new contract at the club.
The 22-year-old defender has just over two years remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford having joined from Blackburn Rovers in 2011.
United boss David Moyes is now keen to tie the youngster down to fresh terms ahead of Nemanja Vidic's summer move to Inter Milan, according to The Guardian.
However, talks between the England international and the Premier League champions have not yet started.
Jones has scored three goals in 30 games for the Red Devils this season.
