Manchester United and Chelsea are both reportedly interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen attacker Florian Wirtz.

The 18-year-old has made an impressive start to the season at club level, scoring five times and registering four assists in six appearances in all competitions.

Wirtz, who has a contract at BayArena until June 2026, has now made 53 appearances for Leverkusen's first team, scoring 14 times and contributing 12 assists.

According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, Bayern Munich are leading the race to sign the attacking midfielder in the summer of 2023.

However, Falk claims that Chelsea, Man United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal are also showing an interest in his services.

Wirtz, who has already been capped on three occasions by Germany, has four goals and four assists in five Bundesliga outings at the start of the 2021-22 campaign.

The youngster's father Joachim Wirtz recently said that his son was planning to continue at Leverkusen for "the next two years".
