Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani and Atalanta BC's Rasmus Hojlund ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils will sign at least one new centre-forward in the upcoming market, with head coach Erik ten Hag said to be keen to have the player on board before the club's pre-season tour of the United States in July.
Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen continue to be heavily linked with moves to Old Trafford, with the former thought to be the club's leading target.
However, Spurs are expected to firmly resist selling their star player to a domestic rival, and Man United are wary of entering into a summer transfer saga.
Kolo Muani and Hojlund have recently been mentioned as possible alternatives to Kane, and according to the Manchester Evening News, both players are being monitored.
Muani has been in impressive form for Frankfurt during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 16 goals and registering 14 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.
The France international only arrived at the German club last summer, though, and he has another four years left to run on his contract.
Muani recently talked-up a possible move away this summer, claiming that he is "ready for any challenge".
Meanwhile, it has been suggested that the 20-time English champions are prepared to spend as much as £106m on the Frenchman this summer.
Hojlund has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
Man United are said to have a 'concrete interest' in the 20-year-old, who has scored eight goals and registered two assists in 25 appearances for Atalanta during the 2022-23 campaign.
Hojlund hit the headlines when he scored three times in Denmark's opening Euro 2024 qualification match against Finland on March 23, before netting a brace against Kazakhstan three days later.
Like Muani, the Dane only switched clubs last summer, moving to Atalanta from Sturm Graz, and he has another four years left to run on his current deal.
Man United are looking to sign a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo following his exit at the end of last year, while Anthony Martial could also depart on a permanent basis this summer. body check tags ::
