Manchester United are reportedly at the front of the queue to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio.
The Red Devils were heavily linked with the Serbia international in the summer, but a transfer never materialised, ensuring that the midfielder remained in Italy.
Although Milinkovic-Savic has begun the season with Lazio, he is currently being linked with a potential move away in the January transfer window.
According to Sport Witness, Man United are leading the race to sign Milinkovic-Savic, as Lazio would be reluctant to sell to a fellow Serie A club.
Lazio's stance would put Juventus at a disadvantage, with the Turin side keen to sign the 27-year-old, although United could still face competition from the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid who have been credited with showing an interest.
A recent report also indicated that Lazio president Claudio Lotito has set an €120m (£105m) asking price, despite the player's contract expiring in June 2024.
The Serbian has scored four goals and contributed seven assists in 12 appearances for Lazio this season. body check tags ::
