Manchester United are allegedly not interested in signing Jerome Boateng this summer.
The experienced centre-back is available on a free transfer, having left Bayern Munich at the end of June, and a recent report claimed that he was desperate to move to Old Trafford.
Juventus, AC Milan, Lazio, Napoli and Roma have all been credited with an interest in the 32-year-old, but a switch to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side is said to appeal to the German the most.
There have been suggestions that the 20-time English champions could follow up Raphael Varane's signing with another centre-back before the end of the transfer window.
However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Man United are not planning a move for Boateng, who is prepared to take his time when it comes to choosing his next club.
The Germany international won nine Bundesliga titles and two Champions League crowns during his time at Allianz Arena but was not offered a new deal by the German giants.
