Manchester United have reportedly emerged as a potential destination for Tianjin Quanjian midfielder Axel Witsel.
The Premier League giants are allegedly prioritising the addition of a centre-back before the end of the summer window, but it appears that an opportunity could arise to sign Witsel.
According to Bild, Tianjin have offered out Witsel to European clubs, with the Belgium international said to have a release clause of £17m.
Borussia Dortmund were linked with an approach for the 29-year-old earlier this week, but it has been suggested that the German side are against shelling out for the player.
Witsel starred for Belgium at the World Cup, but the central midfielder has spent the last 18 months of his career competing in the Chinese Super League.
